Educative Game Developing

The games are designed to be educational and are programmed by students of 12 to 14 years old. The games originate from their own inspiration and are supervised by a pedagogic coordinator. We seek to combine the social and environmental contentewith entertainment, offering fun and self-learning of important concepts within the environmental themes.

Major environmental issues addressed by us:

Global warming and climate change;

- Pollution;

- Deforestation;

- Erosion and landslides;

- Recycling and waste picker cooperatives;

- Biological and cultural diversity.

While the game is a complete and independent teaching tool, it also serves as complementary material for the theater play with the same title, presented by the Environment in Movement Institute in schools and communities. In order to be an enhancement to the content of the play, the game offers a lot more content.

The storyline contains the same funny characters of the play, the Early Man and Sócolinha, the barking. With these two clumsy fellows , the player will discover a very funny story about the fate of the world. The style of the game is RPG, Role Playing Game, a very popular genre among young people that requires a concatenation of reasoning to solve problems. There are several missions that the player must investigate and learn, and apply his knowledge about the environment.

7000 people watched the play and the game exposure

In the third season of the Robin Hood Project more than 15 cities in 6 different Brazilian states were visited by the team that performed several actions of the campaign "From Begging to End of the Wolrd" (....) , including the play and the digital game. Over 7000 people were reached through this project.

Next steps ...

The idea is to expand the campaign to audiovisual media in order to get a project of integrated media.
